The APS Capital research team emphasizes fundamental credit research. We focus on detailed de-consolidated valuations and strive to uncover misvalued, under-followed and misinterpreted investments.

One key in our credit research is our ability to marry an understanding of the financial and legal underpinnings of a restructuring scenario. We focus on both the financial and legal side of the equation to provide keen insight into distressed and special situations.

We approach every distressed scenario with a detailed analysis of schedules, de-consolidated financials, indentures, inter-creditor agreements, loan credit agreements and security documents. In this way, we achieve thorough understanding of inter-capital structure and inter-creditor complexities.

In the post-Owens Corning world, we believe that acute analysis of the capital structure will allow distressed investment institutions to maximize recoveries in reorganization scenarios.
